• File Formats: Several new file formats have beem added to Imagenation's impressive range of viewing capabilities that approaches 150 different file formats.
  • Autodesk's DWF (Drawing Web Format) Format: Users now benefit from the ability to view and markup DWF files, a new file format from AutoCAD that enables users to seamlessly publish files to the Web.
  • Imagenation also offers new file support for HP RTL, Progressive JFIF and TIFF JPEG files, and enhanced support for HPGL files
• DWG Model/Paper Space and Multi-Layout Support: Imagenation further increases support for AutoCAD files with the ability to switch between model space and paper space, the two primary spaces in which AutoCAD objects reside, and multi-layout viewing. This enables users to page through layouts such as title blocks, viewports and annotations.
• Scanning: With the growing popularity of production and personal scanners, users are integrating paper-based information into their applications more than ever before. And, with the proliferation of Intranet/Internet and fax communications, businesses need to be able to access information at their desktops in real time.
  • Scan32 Toolkit Upgrade: Imagenation 6.21 has implemented support for the latest Scan32 toolkit offered by Pixel Translations based on the Image and Scanner Interface Specification (ISIS). Since the introduction of ISIS in 1990, it has become the dominant and most widely accepted method for scanner control. ISIS forms the basis of the scanning API standard from the Association for Imaging and Information Management, a member body of the International Standards Organization (AIIM, MS61).
  • KIP America: Other enhancements to Imagenation include new scanning support for KIP America's K-series and K-75 through a customized TWAIN interface. Spicer Corporation currently provides scanning software for several scanning manufacturers around the world including Vidar, Contex and Widecom.
• HP RTL Support: Imagenation supports the rendering of files, which contain RTL data (Raster Translation Language), in whole or in part. RTL is a set of features or corresponding commands within the PCL language for use in HP printing devices. HP created PCL to provide an economical and efficient way for applications programs, such as Imagenation, to control a range of printer features across a number of printing devices.
• Localization: Imagenation is an international viewing solution, with the user interface translated into 22 languages. Far East language support for Microsoft Word 97, Excel 97 and later versions for Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese has also been added.
